Ranger. (J Class)603 viewsShe was broken up in 1941. It seems a full-sized replica may be built. You can buy our lovely miniature replica for a great deal less, today.

Clinker Punt.600 viewsBuilt all in wood, she is a fascinating miniature.

Coureur (stern detail)597 viewsWhile the Royal Navy was supreme in fleet actions in the Napoleonic War, they were still caused considerable grief by the French chasse-maree luggers. Fast, agile and heavily crewed, they would dash out from Biscayan ports to snap up any unwary British merchantmen which wandered within reach. "Le Coureur" is a fine example of the type. This beautiful model illustrates the exquisite craftsmanship which goes into all our scale replicas.

Ranger. (J Class)589 viewsSopwith's challenge of 1934 had frightened the Americans. When he issued a fresh challenge for 1937, with a new J boat, "Endeavour II", they decided to build a boat nothing could beat. Advances in the science of tank testing made it more feasible to try many different sets of lines.

Lowestoft trawler.586 viewsThe Lowestoft sailing trawlers were large, powerful vessels. They illustrate the ultimate development of the offshore fishing vessel before the coming of steam. At least one survives today, and you can still go sailing on her, getting a taste of working life at sea in the days of sail. If you love working sailing vessels, as I do, this fine model will be a worthy embellishment to your home.

Sovereign of the Seas.583 viewsShe makes a magnificent and spectacular model. The client for this example chose to have her built without her rig. Many museums have models which are displayed in this fashion. It sets off the magnificence of the hull without distractions, and considerably reduces storage space and the risk of damage.

578 viewsCutty Sark; detail. Just look at the detail of the foredeck, and the way each deck plank is individually set into the waterway.

Ranger. (J Class)578 viewsThis was fully exploited by a brilliant design team, which included the experience of Starling Burgess and the rising talent of the young Olin Stephens. The set of lines you see here resulted. Some considered them unconventional, even ugly. To my eye, they are extremely beautiful, and speak of speed.
